New Members Ministry – Our New Members Ministry is under the direction of Pastor Howard Haynes and Minister Talawnna Haynes.
Ministry Purpose: The Members Ministry Leader is responsible for teaching the New Convert about the Word of God and living a Godly lifestyle through the new member’s course developed by the church. Major focus will be place on weekly classes teaching the Disciple Class 4-week program.
Mission Statement: The Mission of the New Members' Ministry seeks to lead people to Jesus and membership in ETMI, mobilize members to be active in ministry, educate people through discipleship, and help members to develop to maturity.
Vision Statement: Our Vision is fourfold:
1. To intentionally develop relationships with unreached people until they are Christ like disciples and making Christ like disciples.
2. To teach the Word of God until children, youth, and adults are saved, sanctified wholly, and maturing in the Christian experience.
3. To help Christians grow spiritually, involving them in evangelism, Christian education, and disciple making.
4. To encourage children, youth, and adults to enroll in Sunday School, small groups and/or discipling ministries, and faithfully participate. Matthew 28:19-20 says, “19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Ministry Responsibilities:
- Shall oversee and supervise all operations of the New Members Class Ministry.
- Shall attend all quarterly planning meetings. If unable to attend, shall inform the Bishop in advance and have a substitute attend for you.
- Shall remember that your service to God goes beyond the church service and building. Your actions outside the church also dictate people’s response to the effectiveness of your ministry.
