Care Giver Ministry— Our Care Giver Ministry is under the direction of Pastor Tonia Strode and Minister Shawn Colar.
Ministry Purpose: To assist and motivate all ministry leaders and members in a manner that will result in "total care for the total church.” Major focus will be placed on caring for the members, encouraging member involvement and assisting with assimilating new members. The Care Ministry leaders will be responsible to mobilize our church toward people centered ministries. The Care Ministry leader(s) will bring a sense of belonging, trust, accountability and responsibility to each member of our ministry.
Assimilating New Members:
- Shall assist in welcoming all new members coming to church from all backgrounds. This includes: new converts, the return of a previous member if they have been gone for more than 6 months, a transfer member or others that need information about our church.
- Call and Pray with leaders and members that are troubled or discouraged. If they choose not to share a need, let them know that you will be placing their family name on our prayer list.
- Shall seek to fulfill all responsibilities with dedication and love for your work and respect for all leaders and members.
- Shall maintain a positive attitude in all that you do.
- Shall communicate with Bishop concerning special situations. Please use your judgment and much discretion. Never violate a confidence from one member to another member.
- Shall assist other Ministries when requested in the following areas:
1. Promote Faithfulness in Tithe, Offering and Building Fund Opportunities
2. Promote Faithfulness in Church Attendance and Informing when Absent
3. Encourage Everyone to be Involved in Ministry
4. Promote all Departmental Ministry Opportunities of our church
5. Promote Total Church Care
- Shall remember that your service to God goes beyond the church service and building. Your actions outside the church also dictate people’s response to the effectiveness of your ministry.
